The collecting hood of the refining furnace is composed of track beams, fixed hood, mobile hood, maze, suction port, travel motor, etc. The collecting hood is in a closed state during normal smelting, and the smoke is captured during smelting (capture rate is 95%). When it is necessary to replace the electrode or add materials, the collecting hood is opened to make room for production. An insulation layer is laid inside the collecting hood to prevent the outer plate of the hood from deformation due to heat and to reduce the external temperature of the hood to prevent accidental scalding accidents. The insulation layer is made of aluminum silicate fiber felt material with a temperature resistance of 1000~1200 degrees. When it is necessary to replace the electrode cross arm, the fixed hood and the mobile hood can be hoisted to an open area in the workshop to make room for maintenance.
